Cairo Table

1. Who we are

This website is operated by Cairo Table Dining Guide L.L.C., a company registered in Egypt under Commercial Registry number 372089, with Tax ID (ETA) 638-512-907. Our registered address is 7 Road 9, Maadi, Cairo 11431, Egypt. You can contact us at [email protected] or by telephone on +20 2 2358 6914.

We are the data controller for any personal information collected through this website. That means we decide how and why your data is processed, and we are responsible for keeping it secure.

This policy applies to the website at egyptian-prime.xyz. It does not apply to external websites we link to. When you follow a link to another domain, that site's own privacy terms govern how your data is handled there.

2. What information we collect

We collect only the information you actively provide when you submit our contact form. Depending on which fields you complete, this may include your full name, your email address, details you share about your travel plans or neighbourhood preferences (such as district, arrival date or dietary requirements), the service category you select from our dropdown menu, and the free-text message you write. The consent checkbox records that you agreed to this policy at the time of submission.

We do not collect payment card details, passport numbers, dates of birth or any category of sensitive personal data as defined under applicable law. We do not ask for your home address, phone number or any government-issued identification.

We do not deploy advertising tags, third-party analytics scripts, session-recording tools or any form of behavioural tracking on this website. No data is collected from you simply by browsing our pages.

3. How we use your information

The sole purpose for which we use the information you submit is to respond to your enquiry. This means: reading what you've written, drafting a reply tailored to your situation, and sending that reply to the email address you provided. If you asked about a specific food tour plan, your message may be shared internally with the team member responsible for tour logistics so they can confirm availability or pricing details.

We do not use your submission to send you newsletters, promotional materials or any communication you did not ask for. We do not create profiles of users for any purpose. We do not combine your submission data with information from other sources. We do not run automated decision-making processes against your data.

The legal basis for processing under the Egyptian Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020 and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Article 6(1)(b), is the performance of a contract or steps taken at your request prior to entering one — namely, providing you with the dining guidance or tour information you asked for.

4. How long we keep your data

We retain the content of submitted enquiries, including the associated email correspondence, for nineteen months from the date of the original submission. This period covers the window during which a follow-up question, a tour rebooking or a correction to our guides might plausibly arise from the same conversation.

After nineteen months, enquiry records are permanently deleted from our inbox and any internal notes derived from them. Email addresses are not stored in any separate database or mailing list — deletion of the correspondence record removes the address entirely.

If you request deletion before that period ends, we will act on that request within thirty days. See section 9 for how to make a request.

5. Cookies and local storage

This website does not set advertising cookies, tracking cookies or any third-party cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or any equivalent service. No persistent identifiers are written to your browser for the purpose of recognising you across sessions or across websites.

Our website may use a single session-scoped technical value to prevent duplicate form submissions within the same browser session. This value is not readable by any third party, does not identify you personally, and is deleted when you close the browser tab. It serves no function other than preventing accidental double-sends.

You may disable cookies entirely in your browser settings without affecting your ability to read this website or submit the contact form.

6. Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell, rent or commercially transfer your personal information to any party. We do not share it with data brokers, advertising networks or social media platforms.

The only situations in which your information might reach a third party are:

Email infrastructure: Outgoing replies to your enquiry pass through the mail server associated with the egyptian-prime.xyz domain. We use a standard hosted email service to send and receive messages. That provider processes email content in transit and in storage but is bound by its own data processing terms and applicable law.

Legal obligation: If we receive a valid legal order from an Egyptian court or competent authority requiring us to disclose specific information, we will comply with that order. We will notify you if legally permitted to do so before disclosing.

Business transfer: In the unlikely event that Cairo Table Dining Guide L.L.C. is acquired, merged or wound up, personal data held at that time would form part of the transferred assets. Any successor entity would be required to honour the terms of this policy or notify you before applying different terms.

7. International data transfers

Cairo Table Dining Guide L.L.C. is based in Egypt. If you submit the contact form from a country within the European Economic Area, your data will be transferred to Egypt for processing. Egypt has enacted the Personal Data Protection Law No. 151/2020, which establishes a data protection framework covering controller obligations, individual rights and cross-border transfer conditions.

We do not transfer your data to any country beyond Egypt in the normal course of handling your enquiry. If a transfer were necessary — for example, as part of an international tour arrangement you specifically requested — we would inform you and obtain your separate consent before proceeding.

8. Data security

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect the personal information you submit against unauthorised access, accidental loss and destruction. These measures include encrypted transit via HTTPS for all form submissions, restricted access to the inbox that receives enquiries (limited to the team members who need it to respond), and regular review of access credentials.

No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure. While we do our best to protect your information, we cannot warrant absolute security. If you have reason to believe your information has been involved in a security incident, please contact us immediately at [email protected].

9. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the following rights in relation to personal data we hold about you:

Right of access: You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you. We will provide this within thirty days of a verified request.

Right to correction: If any information we hold is inaccurate or incomplete, you may ask us to correct it.

Right to deletion: You may ask us to delete your information before the nineteen-month retention period expires. We will comply unless we are legally required to retain it.

Right to restrict processing: You may ask us to pause using your information while a dispute about its accuracy or our basis for processing is resolved.

Right to object: If you believe we are processing your information in a way that harms your interests and we cannot demonstrate a legitimate overriding reason, you may object.

Right to data portability: Where processing is based on your consent or a contract, you may ask us to provide your data in a structured, machine-readable format.

To exercise any of these rights, write to us at [email protected] with the subject line "Data request" and a brief description of what you need. We will respond within thirty days. We may ask you to verify your identity before acting on any request that would expose or delete another person's data.

10. Children's data

This website is intended for adults who are planning or researching travel and dining. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of sixteen. If you believe a child has submitted information through our contact form, please notify us at [email protected] and we will delete it promptly.

Our guided food tours accommodate families with children, but the booking must be made by an adult, and any personal information submitted as part of that booking is the adult's.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in how we operate or in the law that applies to us. When we make a substantive change, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. We will not retroactively apply a materially different policy to data already collected without notifying you.

If you have an open enquiry at the time we update this policy, the version in effect when you submitted your form continues to govern the handling of that submission unless you explicitly agree to updated terms.

We encourage you to review this page periodically if you have submitted your details to us. The current version is always published at this URL.

12. Complaints and supervisory authority

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your personal information, you have the right to raise a complaint with a data protection authority. In Egypt, the competent authority is the Personal Data Protection Centre, which oversees enforcement of Law No. 151/2020. If you are located in an EU member state, you may also approach the supervisory authority in your country of residence.

We would, however, encourage you to contact us first at [email protected]. The large majority of concerns can be resolved directly and more quickly than a formal regulatory process allows. We take privacy complaints seriously and will respond within ten working days.
